I bought this light for my commercial ice machine bin. It is dark, cold and moist inside the bin. I struggled mounting it and a few times it dropped into the ice. I am really testing the IPX waterproof rating LOL. I am not sure how long it is going to last in these conditions but so far so good. I hard wired to a wall plug then into a smart plug MOBI (you can read my review on that separately) - works well.Pros - The wiring is straight forward and easy to add a plug. I am not very good with electrical wiring and good news is the instructions and Q/A on the site are very clear. The light is thin (about 1/4") and bright enough for my application. I like the skinny chord to sneak through and under areas.Cons - LED lights need an inverter. With this light the inverter is inside the light housing by the "bulb". This is mentioned in the specifications and no surprise - all good. In one aspect this is good as the separate inverter box in most LED applications is something to conceal and or deal with. This makes for a clean application. However, the light housing does get warm from either the light or the inverter. I assume it is the inverter. I don't think it is affecting my ice retention much and is a trade off for having a light inside the ice bin. This problem is specific to this application but note it does get warm for your application. Also the chord could be a little longer. Not a big deal, but I can see users needing to add chord to reach a power source.On the "bright side" great light, I would use this again.
