Like you, I saw the varying reviews speaking of how the product was faulty or stopping working but saw so many positive reviews, that I added the motion sensor pair to cart and figured, hey, why not, I'll give them a try!Big mistake.To be fair, I gave these two stars because they looked amazing when they actually worked, which was for about 4 days. Although the directions leave ALOT to be desired, you can figure out how to download the app and tinker around to figure out what's happening. I realized something was off when my lights kept unpairing from the app. Then, for whatever reason, I kept hearing a high pitched noise coming from the provided power box whenever one of the lights activated. Sigh. Ignoring this, and pushing through it, I was able to get the motion sensors setup, picked some custom colors, and even got them to sync up to music. I was super excited!!And then, 2.5 days later, I walked by and nothing happened. I was so confused like, did I unplug them on accident? Did the little power boxes give out? They answer to both was NO. Nothing changed except they don't work anymore. And of course, I'm way beyond the return period on these.Just do yourself a favor, and don't buy these. Don't let the thousands of reviews or discounted price entice you. They won't work beyond initial installation and you'll just end up back here looking for a different set.Update: the Seller reached out almost immediately after reading this to rectify the situation. I sincerly appreciate good and fast Customer Service, so I added a star.Lights are nice and are as described. The directions are lacking. Needs to be guidance on how to operate as motion and then just turning on and off in general.Nice product. When sets light white some of the leds looks like blue and green.Easy install. Really cool. Customer service is excellent. One of the motion sensors was bad and they sent me a replacement strand immediately. Great substitute for a night light for sure.For some reason, the builder decided to put the outlets near the ceiling and not provide wall switches. These work great to light the room as someone enters. The motion sensor is very sensitive and works every time. I mounted them in conjunction with (Muzata 6-Pack 3.3ft/1Meter 8x17mm U Shape LED Aluminum Channel System with Cover, End Caps and Mounting Clips Aluminum Profile for LED Strip Light Installations U1SW WW, LU1) to diffuse the individual LED's look and cast the light better. Double sticky tape is necessary to keep the strip on a vertical wall. The color options are good for parties. Due to the adhesive started to drop down. That is the reason for the 4 star.I wanted to use this light strip inside my closet. It works, somewhat, but is, really, not bright at all. It has several preset colors, none of which are close to normal yellow-white color of a typical bulb.The other issue is the absence of a connector on the wire, so if you have a small hole and are trying to feed the wire through it - forget it. You'd have to drill a hole big enough to feed the USB plug.Yes, there is the app that supposedly works via Bluetooth, but there is a catch - the app wants to know your phone's precise GPS location, which is a major security red flag in my book. Otherwise, it refuses to connect to the light strip, so, unless you don't care that some company in China knows where you are all the time, you are out of luck for any remote control.Overall, I'd go with something else - this product is not that good.Durch unpassenden Stecker kein Test möglich
