I already have a very good unlighted loupe but I really had a need to get more light on the viewed item. I was struggling to use the loupe while holding a tiny LED penlight on my subject - not the ideal situation! I couldn't resist trying this one for so small a price. I figured even if it wasn't the best, I would see if the idea of a lighted loupe was worth investing a "better" one. Well, look no further -- this IS the "better" one!!! I love it! The LED light is intense and directed exactly where you need it. The UV light also works and is a bonus for my mineralogy application. My other use will be numismatics. There is no need to spend more for a great lighted loupe!
