Just like headlights, halogen backup lights have a bunch of reflectors inside the assembly designed specifically for the filament in a halogen bulb. A good LED replacement needs to have the chips in the right place and be as thin as possible to mimic a halogen bulb and this fits the bill. You can even see the reflection of the yellow LED chips with the lights off.The bulbs use a silicone mounting base which just requires a little twisting back and forth but they fit securely enough that they shouldn't ever move. The flat, double-sided design works particularly well for rectangular reverse lights and utilizes the reflectors so well that they're very bright and noticable at all angles even during the day. the lighting looks very even since it doesn't have an LED pointing straight back like other bulbs do. The color temperature also happens to match the headlights on my TLX. Very happy with these bulbs
