This is our second pair. The first attempt to replace the batteries was a bit difficult. The whole battery and lightbulb assembly needs to be removed to make it easier to replace the batteries.My husband bought some similar to these at local drugstore. I thought I'd save a few bucks and a buy a pair online. It wasn't worth it. The plastic arms were stiff and hard to open/ close without feeling like they were going to break. The light was not bright at all. Plastic was thick and seemed brittle and had rough edges on arms near the screws. The company accepted a return without me having to return the glasses - which was nice but I literally don't feel like I could give them to anyone without feeling bad about giving a low quality gift.:(These lighted reading glasses are o.k. The lights point straight ahead rather than on what you are focusing on, meaning the lights should meet in the middle. You have to turn your head slightly in order to shine the light on the subject. They are usable, but are NOT great.These glasses work great and have lots of light.great idea light not as bright as other but for close up project is great. The further out the item your trying to look at the less light like installing a light fixtures.These were the WORST GLASSES EVER!!! If I could give negative stars, this would be the one to do it on. But one star is as low as it goes.I was looking for some glasses with lights on the temple sides for reading, or whatever because I’m ALWAYS, AND I DO MEAN ALWAYS needing extra light when I’m doing things. But these glasses were so bad. I actually bought 2pair, AND..2 extra cards of batteries to be ready, and in great expectation that they were going to be as great as the advertised description.Ok #1. The light was so dull there was NO WAY IN THE WORLD that you could see anything even if the following issues weren’t so extreme.#2. The temple pieces are where the batteries go in, that compartment was so Ill fitted, and poorly made that the batteries didn’t fit in them correctly. AND....it actually has an on/off slide button. But NEITHER PAIR WORKED CORRECTLY, and the on/off slider/lever itself was so sharp, I actually cut my finger trying to get it to flip up, (or down), but it wouldn’t do either. Which means it couldn’t be turned off.So I’m sorry to say it, but if you’re looking for glasses with the lights on the temple pieces, DON’T BUY THESE.Not really any discernible light. Maybe in the pitch dark but as glasses to use for more light on a focused task forget it.Sorry to say, they're not bright enough for me.
