It is halogen (already upgraded from original) on the left and this one on the right.I would not put it anywhere but in reverse lights. You will blind other drivers otherwise.Reliability is unknown. Hopefully they will last. Looks like they are well build and perfect replacement for 1156 socket bulb.Ultimately we did not have the right bulb for the front signal of my Ford Focus SE. So I ended up buying another set from another company through Amazon. Base was right but size was too big to fit.Tried to use these for reverse lights. While the fit into the socket and are super bright, they also do not fully seat onto the socket. It looks like it only goes about halfway in, and I am afraid they will pop out.These are really nice and bright. Too bright for my application, actually :-(I’ve properly calibrated/adopted my Light Control Module before test, so cant’t tell are they “CAN bus compatible” or not. IMHO, all these resistors is a waste of power and fire hazard. You should rather adjust your car properly instead of trying to fool it.I bought a pair a few months ago and within a month, one of the end cap lens covers fell off into my lens housing...a real pain in the ass to get out! build quality questionalable. The the other just went out! I had to reorder....hopefully they're better!These function fine but they are dangerously bright. They made me see dots standing 30 feet away in the daytime. I can only imagine how bad these would be at night. Do not buy if you value the safety of other road users.Purchased a pair of these for a 2016 Honda Pilot. They are VERY bright and I'm happy with that. But, I'm disappointed with the fact that they are HYPER-FLASHING, although their description specifically promises NO hyper-flash! We'll see how this is resolved...Lights are bright and kool. We took 2 start off because they are not plug and play. The single contact bayonet is not 150 degree angle as advertised and needed for my car. We needed to play a little bit and secure them with electrical tape to make sure they do not get loose with vibration.
