I got this to illuminate my uranium glassware and it does what it says! I appreciate there are 2 settings, bright and brighter. I haven't mounted it because the furniture isn't mine so I can't speak to the installation, I do appreciate it being a wall plug and not battery powered (or just a USB without power plug in). Overall exactly what I wantedI have a tray of glow-in-the-dark seashells that I've printed on my 3D printer which I keep in the bathroom. I had been taking the tray outside into the sunshine prior to people visiting so that they'd glow for a bit. I got this light strip and attached it under the medicine cabinet and plugged the USB end into a power pack since I don't have an outlet exactly where I'd want it for this. The power pack stays in the medicine cabinet. The lights really don't use alot of power, and light up the shells quite well!I purchased two of these black light bars to use in two small cabinets where I have a few uranium glass pieces. The bars are very lightweight and were easy to put in place. I used 3M Dual Lock fasteners. They have two brightness settings to choose from. The second light bar I purchased began failing after just one month. Turned out to be the USB adapter, but Amazon got a replacement for me quickly and at no charge.I have used these black lights to make bug traps by suspending them over containers of water dosed with a little dish soap. They ran 24/7 from the time house plants were brought in from outside until they were taken back out which is about 8 months and lasted two seasons. Two of the lights have had power supply failures in their third season and one has developed a bad connection in the wiring. I replaced the power supply with generic high output supplies which worked fine but will probably have to replace the entire light package on the one with the cord defect. All in all, not bad performance considering the long duty cycles that I have exposed them to.for the size of it,it's incredibly bright & I absolutely love it!This blacklight is overall decent quality for the price and being LED, it comes with everything you need to mount and power it (more on that in a moment though), and features two brightness settings which is a nice feature over older fluorescent blacklights. As stated in my headline the included USB adapter is poor quality and the one out of the box died in less than 6 hours of blacklight use. I docked it just one star because I had a handful of spare USB adapters, and really at this price point you just won't get a good USB adapter included with anything. I really do like that it is powered by USB, this allows you to connect it to a standard adapter, a computer, a TV, or anything else with USB ports which is nice.The last blacklight I bought was in the 90s. It had a bulb that you have to twist back into place, the casing was bulky, and more recently the plastic casing started to warp, so I felt I had to replace it for safety. We use this as our kid's nightlight to bring his room decor to life. We love that it has a bright feature for charging glow-in-the-dark stuff quickly, but also a dim setting so we don't worry about it getting too warm and causing trouble if we leave it on all night. The other thing I like about this light is that it is very compact. I am most likely to get one for myself to have on my stand with my synthesizer when I perform.This isn’t a true black light. It has too much purple. It’s fairly bright. It’s super light so I definitely didn’t use the screws it came with to put it up on the wall. I just used ticky tacky. It’s great that it has ability to plug in as a USB and it comes with an outlet adapter if you prefer a traditional plug in. I love the easy switch on and off on the cord vs it being on the actual light. It makes the stars on my ceiling glow as well as my nail polish. I’m going to keep it.2 levels of brightness. Amazing!!! Really love it. If it ever goes back to its original price which is $20, I might get 3 or 4 more. It does get hot sometimes but it quickly cools down once you turn it off for a few minutes. Great quality for what I paid. Light is pretty powerful.
