You will most likely get an error without a resistor in line. That’s the reality. I have converted all my exterior bulbs aside from the fog and headlamps on my 03 Lexus ES300. They all function and look great, but certain ones will cause errors. The turn signals ones did not, neither did the front and rear side markers, but the brakes set off a code immediately. My solution was to take apart my gauges cluster and put a piece of black vinyl over the canbus light icon since it’s a stupid ass feature anyway. Now I’m happy and everything works flawlessly. I’m giving 4/5 because it’s dumb to claim these won’t set off a code.
