My issue was that you need to set this up and then set up your tree as the plastic part can be assembled in pieces, but the red skirt overlay is one solid hoop, so you can’t put this skirt in place after the tree is up. Looks great but just a bad design.Loved the added lights and the variations of light settings. Wished there was a setting for colored lights as well. The skirt could have been wider.It is a plastic collar with the material going over it. It works well I was concerned that the material would slip but it stays well. I don’t use the lights as they are not noticeable with my floor rug and the train that I also have at the bottom of the treeThe collar l looks very nice when you have gotten it hooked up. Hooking it up is a pain. You must put it on before you assemble the tree. The directions do not tell you that. You must put the bottom of the tree together first and then slip the collar over it.This is so MUCH better than your standard Christmas tree skirt. It doesn’t get stuck in my roomba or ever look tacky. It’s beautiful and what I love most are the lights and remote control. I just wished I had known about this years ago!Its durable, very easy to put together & looks great under my tree.The lights are a cool Led not warm. It’s a hard thin plastic that snaps together and then the glitter cover slips over the top. It’s a fabric cover. It’s cute and I like it.
