I bought these light originally to add to a Christmas garland for our porch, but ended up stringing them up in the living room around a pair of cast-iron framed shelves and they are absolutely wonderful. All the lights are in working order and have been using them for about a month now and have not had to change the batteries. The battery box is relatively large so just be prepared to have a place for the box to sit- there is ample amount of cord to have the box away from the start of the lights on the stand. One of the nice parts of the string of lights is the on, off, 6hr and 12hr options, as well as the multiple lighting options. These are very long so make sure you read the length before purchasing. They are bright yellow lights which fit perfect for the decor and really bring a nice element into the Christmas theme. I highly recommend these and hope that they continue to work for at least a few years. I have not tried them outside so not sure how they do in the elements, but I plan on stringing some on our backyard deck so just hoping they hold up outside in the cold and rain. Nicely packaged and turned out to be quite a nice purchase.Very bright lights! We enjoyed these so much we've kept them up after the holidays. Unplug them at night so the neighbors don't complain, should you have any close by! They're small, but strung tightly and closer together than some I've used in the past.The first 2 sets of string lights did not operate properly. The timers did not work. I was able to turn them on and they would stay on for X amount of hours but would not turn on again until I pushed the button. Called Amazon and explained to them about the timers not working right, they sent 2 more. I tested them in my house and the timers work on these. Now I have the task of climbing out in the cold to take down the broken ones to replace with new ones. The string lights are nice, especially having a 6 hour and 12 hour timer. I don't have to go outside every evening to turn on. There are different functions to make the lights blink, fade, or just stay steadily on. I would like to see lights with a 6 hour, 8 hour, and 12 hour timer. All in all, I would recommend these to my friends and family. Installed the batteries and made sure lights and settings worked before wrapping these lights around the trunk and branches of a small tree. Lights are fairly bright even though small and nice color (I got the amber), timer worked flawlessly on a 6 hr on, 18 hr off cycle and still had battery left after 3+ weeks of daily use. Was easy to disassemble, remove batteries, and box back up for next holiday season. Really perked up the front yard and looked very festive at night. I wrapped the controller in a ziplock bag to protect it from the heavy rains we had, and the lights and wiring held up despite several high wind days during xmas season. Very pleased with its performance, and this was so inexpensive. Highly recommend.I've purchased 70 of the dry D-Cell variation for our neighborhood Christmas celebrations. The box design is common to several importers who have put their own brand name on them. The boxes are NOT actually waterproof. Be careful that you drape a quart Ziplock bag over the box with the box wire pointing to the ground...no need to zip it shut. Otherwise, you'll end up with a ruined circuit board inside the button end or a bunch of rust on the battery contacts from the dry battery terminals. The wires are a bit fragile and can break out of an individual bulb. The result is a string that only half lights. It does work to repair a string by cutting out the "bad" bulb and re-splicing the wire with a telephone wire connector.Suuuuuper long lol but great product. Awesome lighting and many different modes. I would have wished though rechargeable batteries were included instead of temporary disposable ones.Good when you don’t have an outlet for bigger lightsThese are great!!
